Технология Intel AMT интегрирована в аппаратную часть ПК на базе технологии Intel vPro (см. - vPro). Технология Intel AMT поддерживает три ключевых возможности:
Энергонезависимая память - это модуль защищенной постоянной памяти, поддерживаемой аппаратно и способной безопасно хранить особо важную системную информацию, недоступную для пользователей, злоумышленников, вирусов и сетевых червей. Уполномоченные технические IT-специалисты смогут получать доступ к хранящимся в этой памяти данным при условии, что ПК подсоединен к источнику питания и подключен к сети.
Дополнительный коммуникационный канал, поддерживаемый на аппаратном уровне, работает "ниже" операционной системы и позволяет уполномоченному IT-персоналу дистанционно включать, перезагружать, управлять ПК и обмениваться с ним информацией даже при выключенном питании или проблемах (недоступности) его ОС.
Изоляционное оборудование отключит сетевой информационный канал персонального компьютера, если будет обнаружена внутренняя или внешняя угроза. Это поможет оперативно организовать карантин, независимо от состояния питания ПК или работоспособности его ОС.
